Please plan to come and help us celebrate at Conestoga’s re-dedication and Open House on Sunday, September 24, at 2 p.m. You won’t be disappointed.
The PTO is continuing to do ink cartridge recycling. Below is the list of acceptable cartridges. Please do not send in any cartridge that is not on the list. Thank you.
Since Conestoga already had their Meet the Teacher Night and Open House, we will not be participating in the elementary schools’ back to school night on Thursday, September 14th. We felt it was important to have families be able to visit prior to the opening day of school.
Don’t forget, we ARE having a re-dedication of the new building on Sunday, September 24, from 2 to 3. Hopefully, you’ll be able to come help us celebrate the blue ribbon cutting ceremony.
There is an early dismissal this Friday, September 15, at 1:30. The p.m. session of kindergarten attends and has lunch at school. For the next early dismissal, the a.m. session will attend and have lunch at school.
Your student will be receiving information from the gym teacher, Dr. Janssen, about Penn Manor’s annual “Run for Fitness” on Saturday, September 23, at Comet Field. The event is held rain or shine.
Below is a copy of the handout. Please note that the registration start time says to drop off the completed flyer on race day between 8:00-8:45 a.m., but that time should actually say 9 a.m. Thank you.
Please join us in the library tomorrow night from 6:45 to 7:45 for the first PTO meeting. It takes many hands to help with all the wonderful things the PTO plans for our children every year.
Brian Wallace, our district public relations person, was here today, along with a photographer from the Lancaster Newspaper and a representative from the architectural firm of Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates, to take pictures of our new school with all of our students, teachers and staff hard at work. Your children may talk about all the action today, so be on the lookout for us to be a featured story on the Penn Manor website soon.
