Animals Visit Conestoga

Barn Hill Preserve brought some of their exotic animals to visit Conestoga Elementary. It was 45 minutes of interactions with amazing animals and information about habitats and feeding patterns. From left to right and top to bottom, we have Franklin the tortoise, Spice the hedgehog, Drogon the bearded dragon, Godzilla the skink, Peanut the armadillo and Scarlet the baby kangaroo. With small groups, all of the students were able to have an up close interaction with the animals. The students learned new vocabulary words and were thrilled to see the joey try to jump and the armadillo stretch after just waking from a nap. The students asked great questions throughout both presentations.

Thank you to all of our teachers and staff who graciously helped to organize deliveries and photos. This was a huge effort and we appreciate this coordination.
