Former Conestoga Student Builds Pergola for Garden

Anders Nordstrom and members of the Boy Scout Troop 146 planned, designed and built a pergola near the garden at Conestoga. Anders wanted to give back to the school he attended and worked to coordinate the efforts of his Troop. This included working with Conestoga Township and district administration as well as acquiring all of the supplies for the project. There were some unforeseen issues along the way, but after those setbacks the scouts got to work and the pergola is now available for members of the school and the community. It is a great addition to the garden program and Edible Classroom that provides lessons to all students at Conestoga during the school year and various Penn Manor students during the summer.
