We can’t wait to see everybody! Just a couple of tips for the first day of school.
Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to keep at their desks. The bottles can be refilled from classroom sinks.
Students are also encouraged to bring an extra mask just in case the one they are wearing gets dirty. Please consider putting your child’s name on the mask just in case it gets misplaced.
Thank you to everyone who filled out the transportation survey. It did give me an idea of what to expect as far as car riders and bus riders. Please remember to send in a note if your child is being picked up. The first couple of days are very hectic at dismissal, so knowing that information first thing in the morning really helps. Remember that the bus runs are slow the first couple of days, so your child may be a little later than normal getting home. That always gets better over time as the bus drivers get more comfortable with their routes.
We are handing out car signs to each child on the first day of school. Please keep them in your car so that when you pick your child up, they can be displayed in your window. That helps us identify which student goes in which car and adds another layer of security to our pick up line.
If your child has a school computer, it should be brought in on the first day of school. All students in grades three through six who do not yet have a computer will be assigned one. A signed permission slip must be in the system before a new computer can be sent home. If you child has a consent form from the previous year, then nothing else needs to be done.
We can’t wait until tomorrow morning!
