Please Be Prepared for Bitter Cold Conditions

Your students need to be wearing hats, gloves, and warm coats. Please bundle them up. Shorts are not permitted until the weather is warmer.

Because of falling temperatures and high winds, parents are reminded to make sure their children are wearing warm coats, hats and gloves as they head for school Thursday and Friday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory from 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, until noon Thursday, Jan. 31.

Temperatures are expected to drop to just above zero Wednesday night and remain in the single digits Thursday morning, with wind chills as low as 10 to 20 degrees below zero.

Please take steps to assure that you and your children limit exposure and stay safe outdoors.
