Water Street Health Services Dental Clinic, located at 210 S. Prince St in Lancaster, is proudly providing children “free” dental sealants on Saturday, 2/27 from 8 to noon.
There will be free oral exams, bite wing x-rays, and sealants for uninsured children ages 5-16.
An examination will be provided by a dentist, and the sealants will be done by dental hygienists and expanded function dental assistants on the child’s permanent molars at the Water Street Dental Clinic.
Call 717-917-6743 and leave your name and phone number. We will return your call to set up an appointment for your child.
The dental hygienist for Penn Manor School District, Tina Hoefel, will be assisting.

Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow night, the decision was made to postpone Movie Night (Disney’s Inside Out) to Friday, February 5th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Please stay safe and enjoy the potential “pause” that the snowstorm may bring all of us.
As most of you know, Conestoga Elementary School will be closed for renovations during the 2016-2017 school year. All students will attend alternate school locations, but still be “Conestoga” students. Students will be bussed from their regular assigned bus stop directly to their assigned school location. The Conestoga PTO will still be in existence and we will host as many school-wide events as possible to maintain our sense of community.
It is with a great deal of thought and consideration that the district has devised the following plans for the Conestoga students next year, pending any unforeseen circumstances.
- Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2 will attend Pequea Elementary.
- Grades 3 and 4 will attend Martic Elementary.
- Grades 5 and 6 will attend Marticville Middle School.
We are very excited for the renovation process to begin and look forward to all the newness of the coming years.
Please send in your boxtops between January 25th and February 19th to see which class can bring in the most! Each teacher has a collection tub in the classroom. Remember, collecting boxtops is an easy way to help our school earn money. Ask family members, neighbors, and friends to save them. Thank you.
The winning class will get to eat their lunch in a special Conestoga Cafe for a day.
As a way to promote career exploration and awareness with our elementary students, Penn Manor elementary schools are planning a special day across the district.
On Friday, February 19, 2016, students will be invited to wear clothing that would represent a career that they may be interested in exploring as an adult. For example, your child may come dressed as a construction worker, doctor, etc. Please make sure that your child’s clothing is appropriate for a day of learning and not distracting.
As an added component to the “Kids at Work” day, teachers and staff will be wearing their college, military, trade-school, or past/present career attire.
Our hope is that “Kids at Work” day will be a great way to start conversations at home and at school about different types of careers, why someone chose a career, and what kind of training/schooling is needed to get started in a particular career.
The Penn Manor Elementary School Counselors would like to thank you in advance for your support for “Kids at Work” Day. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Kim Juba at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling the school.
