The PTO is sponsoring an all-school field trip to the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster on December 17 to see “A Christmas Carol”. The show is part of the Fulton’s Family Series and is the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge told in a child friendly fashion. With the fundraising money that you and your children helped earn, the PTO is paying for the busing & tickets for everybody.
Here’s how it works: We use 7 school buses to pick up the students and all the teachers/aides, who are the chaperones, and they take everyone to the Fulton. We are dropped off right out front of the theater. The show is about 1 hour long and the buses will be waiting out front to pick us up and return us to school, where we will continue the regular school day with lunch, etc., except for the kindergarteners, who need to be picked up at 11:35. Since all the teachers and aides go, as well as the PTO Executive Board and Officers, we do not need any other parent helpers.
This year Pequea Elementary kindergarteners will be joining us, thanks to their PTO as well. All Conestoga & Pequea p.m. kindergarteners are invited to attend in the morning that day so that they can attend the show. ALL kindergarten students need to be picked up at the regular dismissal time of 11:35.
We are fortunate enough that this is Conestoga’s 4th trip to see a show. This is a great experience and enrichment opportunity for your children.
Thank you, parents, for returning the permission slips by this Friday, December 4th.
