Does your child want to play an instrument? If so, please plan to attend “Instrument Information Night” on Wednesday, September 2 in the auditorium of PM High School at 6:30. The presentation is 30 minutes and there will be an opportunity to learn about playing an instrument, listen to the district music teachers make the sounds of each instrument, receive rental information from local music stores and even register for lessons. Again, this is for 4th, 5th, & 6th grade students and their families only. Information will be sent home with your child the first week of school.
How did summer go by so quickly? Well regardless of whether we are still in the summer mode or not, the buses will be rolling out next Wednesday, August 26th, to bring all your (hopefully) excited children back to school. The school is scrubbed and polished, the teachers have their rooms decorated and organized, and I am sure you have already been out buying new backpacks and pencil boxes 🙂 The first day is almost here.
This year we will be welcoming several new faces to our Conestoga family so I want to say welcome to Mrs. Fisher who is our new learning support teacher, Mrs. Witmer who is our new cafeteria manager, Mrs. Drexel who is a Pequea kindergarten teacher who is going to be with us for this year, and Mrs. Diehm, who will be filling in for Mrs. Miller’s first grade classroom for the first couple of months of school. I also want to welcome back Mrs. Nadig, who will be our librarian for this year. I welcome them all to our Conestoga Community.
Just a couple of beginning the year reminders. The buses are always a little late bringing your child home after school for the first two or three weeks. Please don’t worry. The drivers are just taking their time and making sure everyone gets home safe and sound. Please send a note to your child’s teacher if there is any changes in transportation at the end of the day.

Please stay tuned for additional information and final implementation guidelines later in the 2015-2016 school year. We will keep you informed.
