Come out to Comet Field on Friday May 8th for the Penn Manor Spring Fling! The Spring Fling will be held from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. and will include amusement rides, games, inflatable moon bounces and obstacle courses, food and much more. All proceeds from this carnival directly benefit Penn Manor student organizations. The night will end with a dazzling fireworks show that can’t be missed! Be on the look out. The PTO is once again sending home flyers from BJ’s, offering two great membership offers. One side of the flyer is the offer information and the other side is the actual application, which is due back to school on May 15th.
We will once again be having an ice cream social after the Talent Show on Friday, May 1, 2015.

A huge thank you to Turkey Hill for donating the ice cream to our school!

Penn Manor school district honored 11 retirees, with a combined 245 years of service, Tuesday night during the 36th annual Employee Recognition Dinner in the high school cafeteria. Conestoga’s own Learning Support Teacher, Maria Hayes, is one of the retirees.
Attendees watched a video presentation of comments by the retirees, each of whom will be remembered with a brick in the courtyard outside the Penn Manor High School auditorium. You can see the video by going to the main Penn Manor website.
Also honored Tuesday were 115 Penn Manor employees with 20 or more years of service and the Outstanding Employees and Teachers of the Year.
Shawn Beard, enterprise systems engineer, was honored as the Outstanding Elementary Employee of the Year, and Dottie Bleacher, Marticville Middle School secretary, was named Outstanding Secondary Employee of the Year.
Honored as Outstanding Educators were Amy Wiggins, Central Manor fourth-grade teacher, and Melissa McMichael, high school special-education teacher.
Congratulations to all, and best wishes, retirees. You will be missed!
