If you would like to donate a cake, pie, or other baked item (homemade or store bought), please email Jessica Sweigart at jasweigart@comcast.net.
Bring your item to school on Friday, June 6th, or when you come to the picnic.
As part of sixth graders’ “Pay it Forward Project”, they are hosting a carnival of sorts at recess to raise money and awareness for Lancaster County’s Children’s Alliance. Their carnival will take place on June 2 and June 3. We would like to encourage students to bring loose change (pennies, nickles & dimes) to participate in carnival activities.
There will be plenty of activities and games and prizes will be awarded to the kids who accomplish the game. Doesn’t “Balloon Destruction” or “H2O Launcher” sound fun??? Check out “Bucketball” or “Net Crashers” if you have time. Please consider allowing your students to have some extra change with them on Monday and Tuesday.
Thank you from Mr. Mattern & Mr. Schettler
Mr. Schettler & Mrs. Altdoerffer’s classes were treated to a fun time making trail mix for earning the most tokens (laps) in recess run club, which ended today. These top two classes received a special treat of a goody bag they created full of popcorn, pretzels, cereals, craisins, Swedish fish, sunflower seeds and more! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who came in every Tuesday & Thursday during lunch to help with the club, and then again to help today.
Thank you once again to the PTO parents who worked tirelessly on getting ready for our Cruising for Conestoga fundraiser. Thank you PARENTS, for helping your children with address labels so they could be entered in to the big drawing of prizes. In spite of not being able to be outside due to the rain, you can see from the pictures – that didn’t stop us!! Enjoy the photos.
The Rodeo must go on, rain or shine! We won’t let a wet day damper our spirits, so Cruising will be held in the gym in case of rain.
Don’t forget-it’s also CRAZY HAIR DAY!
Here is the “indoor” schedule should we need it.
