Penn Manor Education Foundation is sponsoring Shoot for Education, a basketball foul-shot fundraiser, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 16, in Penn Manor High School’s East Gym.
The event is open to all Penn Manor students, teachers, parents and community members; pre-registration is not necessary.
Participants raise money based on set dollar amounts or on the number of foul shots they make during the event. They may shoot as individuals or as members of a team of five. Each participant will take 25 foul shots, and basket heights will be adjusted for smaller shooters.
Prizes, ranging from T-shirts to $100 Visa gift cards, will be awarded to the top fund-raising individuals and teams. Participants who make the most foul shots also will get awards.
Pledges can be turned in on the day of the event or mailed by March 21 to PMEF, P.O. Box 1001, Millersville, PA 17551. All checks should be made payable to PMEF Shoot for Education.
Forms are available at the link below or from Penn Manor physical education teachers.
