Would you like to be a part of an innovative education project at Conestoga Elementary School? Some members of the PTO have been working to develop a school garden/outdoor classroom and we need help from parents and community members.

Why a school garden?

  • to expose students to hands-on environmental education
  • to enhance the curriculum by connecting it to the natural world
  • to provide experimental kid-centered gardening that fosters keen observation, critical and independent thought

Please join us on October 26th at 7 p.m. in the school library and find out how you can help. You don’t have to be a gardener! If you have any experience in landscaping, construction, carpentry, promotion & advertising, writing, graphic design, organizing, gardening, horticulture or simply a strong back and a willingness to help…..WE CAN USE YOU!
